Sharing Some Wisdom | Chicago Children Photographer

Look at Master L: You can see him hanging on his Miss E's every word. How great it must be to have a big sister who can share worldly advice or special secrets. I can only imagine: I'm the oldest (and no sisters). Come to think of it, I don't remember being much of a mentor to my younger brother. Fast forward a few decades, and now little brother gives me advice. Here's hoping your sibling bond continues to grow. --LN

Wonderment and Joy / North shore children's photographer

Ahhhh, those toddler moments. Always something new to discover in this vast world. Joyful exploration, and thoughtful curiosity. Thank you, D, for bringing your dimples and your sense of wonder, and for letting us be such a big part of your first year. - LN

Family Time

Some families just get it. They don't have to pretend, or pose, or have any such pretense. They naturally fall into place - into the arms that they are so comfortable being held by. That is how this family is -- and it was a joy to photograph them. Thanks, V family - for letting me in.

Fun in the Park

We were so worried about this session --- it had rained for a few days ahead of time, and the forecast was calling for more (hmmmm kinda like the mini sessions this weekend!!!). Ultimately, the weather chose to cooperate (in mother nature's cold kind of way) -- and the session was fabulous. The kids are so sweet and adorable - they were so cooperative and so much fun. Mom and Dad did a great job, too! This first shot takes my breath away. I just love how tenderly they embrace.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrr!

This weather is absolutely insane! All of my sessions last weekend were in absolutely frigid temperatures. Luckily, I had plenty of smiles to warm me up. This pair kept me laughing the entire time - what a fun family (with a great sense of style!). Enjoy! 91IMG_6645

The BEST part of my job

By far, my favorite part of my job is reconnecting with old friends. Photography is a personal profession, and I am proud to say I feel like so many clients become friends. I love to come back, to watch (and to document) the kids as they grow. So when this family called to book a session, I was thrilled. I just couldn't wait to see them again.
