Nothing better than photographing at a forest preserve on a gorgeous day with a fun-loving family! The kids also enjoyed holding hands with their parents while strolling along the various paths during their portrait session. Truly a picture perfect day!
"I still get wildly enthusiastic about little things… I play with leaves. I skip down the street and run against the wind." - Leo F. Buscaglia

It's double the giggles and double the grins, and double the trouble if you're blessed with twins.

Sometimes being a brother is even better than being a superhero. -Marc Brown
There are no seven wonders of the world in the eyes of a child. There are seven million. ~Walt Streightiff
I think, at a child's birth, if a mother could ask a fairy godmother to endow it with the most useful gift, that gift should be curiosity. -Eleanor Roosevelt
This is one of our long time clients, whom we've loved watching their beautiful children grow.
May you touch fireflies and stars, dance with fairies and talk to the moon. - Unknown
G, you are fortunate to have such great kids! You'd never know that A is somewhat of a tomboy. She looked lovely and at-ease in her "girl" clothes, and W, you look so handsome! If only I could get my boys into something other than t-shirts and track pants - without an epic fight. Maybe it's the "we're in this together" twin thing (yes, this brother-sister duo share the same birthday), or maybe its a testament to their devotion to mom and dad, but whatever it is, we found it to be a delight to photograph these kids. How glad we are that our mutual friends, P, introduced us. See you next year. - LN
Okay, you're onto us: This is a fall photo. Fall is such a busy time of the year for us that we can get a backlog of images for our blog, but we think it's nice to mix it up: a beach photo in the middle of a snowy winter or an autumn photo at beginning of the summer. But one guiding rule: No fall photos on our blog in July; it's like seeing "Back to School" in the stores in June! The last thing we want is a reminder of how short summer really is...So we're down to the wire with very-end-of-June post. It was so much fun to meet the Y family: kids at a mix of ages and stages in a family filled with love and laughter. Looking forward experiencing to future ages and stages. -- LN
Give a boy a dog and you've furnished him a playmate. --Berton Braley
Look at Master L: You can see him hanging on his Miss E's every word. How great it must be to have a big sister who can share worldly advice or special secrets. I can only imagine: I'm the oldest (and no sisters). Come to think of it, I don't remember being much of a mentor to my younger brother. Fast forward a few decades, and now little brother gives me advice. Here's hoping your sibling bond continues to grow. --LN
As you pass through these garden gates, who knows what treasures may await. A baby brother, perhaps? Stay tuned....
L family, you are one of our favorite new friends. You've touched our lives, warmed our hearts, and brought us countless smiles. Thank you for giving us the true picture of love, joy, and miracles. - LN
When we think Valentine's Day, we think hearts, and just like you, we are tickled by adorable Valentine's Day images - one of our few opportunities to embrace props and cutesy. But, in the true spirit of celebrating love, we want to showcase these beautiful people, each of whom knows the real meaning of giving and receiving a gift from the heart. Every year, it is Laurie's privilege to contribute to Heartland Blood Centers' annual calendar by photographing regular people with exceptional stories. It's an honor for us to meet these special people who give us the gift of inspiration, and truly touch our hearts. - LN
One of our favorite portrait sessions of the year. (Okay, we say that all the time.) This family had such a loving spirit, we had a blast photographing them, even if it wasn't so fun for big brother who proved to be a sweet treat for the mosquitoes. Family photographs and bug bites - what a good sport! - LN
It's amazing to have watched these kids grow up while time has stood still for us. Holy cow! It's one of the bittersweet parts of our job: the constant reminder that time marches on. So great to see you again, G kids. Love you! - LN
