Some photographers shy away from two-month-old shoots, but we welcome them with open arms, and this is cutie shows just how fun it can be! Loving this little doll and her perfect pout. So snugly and sweet!
Our little princess is back, and this time with her sweet parents! We just adore all kinds of family snuggles, and it makes us so happy to capture each and every one we're lucky enough to meet. Just look at that babydoll's smile! Lucky us.
Nine months old is such a great age, isn't it? Personality and smiles and an emerging little person all still in a baby sized package! This little princess showed us nothing but cuteness in our session and here is part one of her adorable day, stay tuned for part two soon!
Well, we may be a bit behind on this one (he may be around two now...), but it was too cute to leave off the blog! We've been photographing this family and their cuties for awhile, and dreamy eyes is featured here in his one year session looking cute as ever! Thank you to this fabulous family for always thinking of us for these memories, we just love watching these dolls grow.
Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body. ~Elizabeth Stone
“I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says "Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again.” - Lewis Carroll from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass
Another longtime client with a very special arrival. Welcome to the world G. You're handsome from your toes to your nose.
These days, we don't see many men wearing bow ties. Come to think of it, fewer and fewer men wear neckties ties at all - or even own more than one. It takes a special fellow to don a bow tie, someone who unabashedly marches to the beat of his own drum. What more could a parent ask for? -- LN
Looks like someone is getting geared-up to be Daddy's little helper. You could say this gives new meaning to the concept of “sleep training.” - LN
It never occurred to me to use cloth diapers back in my boys' diaper days. I did hear stories about the chemicals in disposable diapers, but I closed my ears. The alternatives didn't seem appealing, but if I had known about the convenience and the benefits of cloth diapers, who knows.... Here is YOUR chance to learn more about the amazing cloth diapering experience at "Cloth Diapering 101" presented by Green Diaper Babies. Find out how cloth diapering can help your child potty train faster, and learn about the environmental impact of disposable diapers so you can help save the planet for your children.
And most enticing: If you can't imagine the thought of washing dirty diapers, find out how Green Diaper Babies diaper service will do the dirty work for you. www.greendiaperbabies.com

Will this winter EVER end?! What would you give to stay in bed on these cold mornings, snug a a bug in a rug? This sweet pea surely has the right idea. What a little bundle of love. - LN
So happy that one of our favorite families is back with their new addition! This little man could not have been a more enjoyable newborn portrait subject, which makes sense; his big brother is a great role model! We love working with toddlers, especially one who is so cooperative AND willing to share the spotlight with a new sibling. Looking forward so seeing you all again.
This princess is the light of her parents' life, and she was one of our all-time most cooperative little ones. We're so glad to have met you! Looking forward to seeing you again soon, and creating more imagery together.
Tired baby, tired mommy (and daddy), not that you'd ever know by looking at these delightful parents. We LOVE sleepy babies -- almost as much their parents. Thank you, M family for sharing your little princess with us. We'll look forward to seeing her when she's a bright-eyed, busy toddler. LN
Twins are always a treat and, we admit, a challenge, but when we met C & C, they were still in their sweet and sleepy newborn stage. Now, according to mom and dad, these twins have realized that with two big brothers they don't want to miss any of the action. Whomever coined the phrase "sleeping like a baby" clearly never had one (or two). -- LN
Some babies just make this seem so easy. Like this little one, who was a sleepy bundle of love. I can't stop looking at this sweetie! - LN
I'm partial to these images, not because this little guy is sweet and adorable (which he is), but because this series features fleeting expressions. Some of them are quirky - my faves - and some are classic, but they all capture him, at this moment, and truly showcase his personality. Babies change SO fast. Don't let the memory fade. - LN
I admit it: I'm a sucker for blue eyes. My husband has blue eyes; my kids had blue eyes - until they turned two. Ladies, watch out. I've met C's parents, and this little man's blue eyes ain't-a-changin'. - LN
Ahhhh, those toddler moments. Always something new to discover in this vast world. Joyful exploration, and thoughtful curiosity. Thank you, D, for bringing your dimples and your sense of wonder, and for letting us be such a big part of your first year. - LN
Well, it only took me 7 months to blog about our new studio! We've just been so busy taking care of our clients, that things like our new studio space took a back seat. However, I am so excited to share our new digs with you -- the space is just lovely and I can't wait to see many of you there! Our new studio is located in downtown Highwood, directly above a nail salon (how perfect is that!?). We've got tons of shooting space, with a great brick wall to enjoy. By far my favorite feature is our bay window, and it has been so much fun experimenting with the lighting there. The window is fabulous for newborn work, but it really shines with maternity silhouettes.
We've always got fresh coffee and tea waiting for you, great books, and our free wifi. Come see us soon!
