This family is nothing but amazing in front of the camera! Not only are they simply gorgeous, but all this love for their adorable baby is heart-melting. One whole year of being parents and a family of three is so special, we are honored to capture such a sweet time in this family's life.
Some photographers shy away from two-month-old shoots, but we welcome them with open arms, and this is cutie shows just how fun it can be! Loving this little doll and her perfect pout. So snugly and sweet!
This little sweetie is so lucky to have such great siblings! We love watching our clients' families grow, and baby makes three for this wonderful crew. Loving these smiles!
Remember this guy with the gorgeous eyes from THIS post awhile back, and our last two posts in July? Well, he's a big brother now and his baby sister is just as darling! He's doing a wonderful job as a big brother to that little sweetie swaddled up in his arms, and melting our hearts. We love getting to know our families as they grow, and this family has been so fun to watch grow in love and numbers!
Did you catch this sweetie on the blog last week? You'll see him again soon, as we introduce his new baby sister! This is the final peek at our two-year-old session with him that was all about firetrucks and trains and being the most fun little guy in the studio! We have known this little guy and his family forever and capturing his silly moments gives us such joy!
This little guy made us giggle at his wonderful one year session HERE, and now that he's two, he's a pro! He knows to come in and get right down to the playtime! Don't miss his darling new sister tomorrow on the blog, but for now, we think he's pretty great at being a big brother and two-year-old extraordinaire!
Our little princess is back, and this time with her sweet parents! We just adore all kinds of family snuggles, and it makes us so happy to capture each and every one we're lucky enough to meet. Just look at that babydoll's smile! Lucky us.
Nine months old is such a great age, isn't it? Personality and smiles and an emerging little person all still in a baby sized package! This little princess showed us nothing but cuteness in our session and here is part one of her adorable day, stay tuned for part two soon!
Well, we may be a bit behind on this one (he may be around two now...), but it was too cute to leave off the blog! We've been photographing this family and their cuties for awhile, and dreamy eyes is featured here in his one year session looking cute as ever! Thank you to this fabulous family for always thinking of us for these memories, we just love watching these dolls grow.
From toes to their little nose, we love babies. Stretching, yawning and snuggling are just a few of our favorite things.

Scrolling through the international contest winners, I never expected to see my name once let alone twice. I am incredibly humbled and honored to have placed in this prestigious competition. The detailed press release is included below, but to me, the biggest news is that pursuing one's dreams and allowing oneself to take creative risks can be a very rewarding process. Thank you to all of our clients for encouraging me to constantly try harder.

“I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says "Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again.” - Lewis Carroll from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass
Every mama has her favorite brands. We at Soben Studios are going to be highlighting some of our favorite local businesses in the Chicagoland area. Our first local business in Green Diaper Babies. We love them for so many reasons: 1.) They're green! 2.) They cater to our neighborhood! 3.) They save you money!
They posted a great blog recently on getting started with cloth diapering. We thought we'd share the benefits with all or our favorite Soben moms too! Check out The Basics of Cloth Diapering.
Another longtime client with a very special arrival. Welcome to the world G. You're handsome from your toes to your nose.
You've met this young man before surrounded by Daddy's tools. Did you look closely and notice anything unusual about the image? Here's a hint: He wasn't nestled in a basket. Nor was he posed in a bowl - both of which are common newborn props. He was snuggly inside a tire! Brand new, of course, courtesy of Daddy (a collector of vintage automobiles).
