Featuring, not just mini sessions, but also brunch, playtime and lots of entertainment – all to benefit Asperitech. You probably haven’t heard of Asperitech. Allow us to introduce you: Aspiritech is a unique organization devoted to developing employment opportunities for young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Given that 1 in 110 children is diagnosed with a disorder on the autism spectrum, it’s likely you know a family coping with the challenges presented by ASD. Now, fast forward and consider the obstacles these kids will face as they try to enter the work force…This is where Asperitech comes in. Asperitech is in desperate need of funding, and along with Nibbles Café in Wheeling, Soben Studios is determined to help out. But we need you! When things get busy here, the blog is the first thing to suffer! We’ve had so many fun shoots this summer — and I can’t wait to share them with you. Here are a few that I’ve been meaning to post – but more are coming!! Susan has also had some great shoots and I can’t wait to show you those, either. Today I wanted to showcase a gorgeous woman who came through for headshots – I just love how she selected the perfect dress to compliment her amazing coloring! I also just had to show this little cutie – I’ve had the honor of taking her pictures for a few years now, and I can’t wait to meet her newest sibling towards the end of this month!!
Though I don’t have time to post much at the moment – I had to pop in to say hello! Stay tuned for information about a charity event to with Nibbles Play Cafe coming the end of this month – and also to learn more about our newborn special.

I get so lucky. I just seem to have the best bookings with the happiest families – and this next one is no exception. We had a great time together. Sure, I could show you all of the “everyone look and smile at the camera” type shots – which yes, we captured. However, isn’t it more fun to see their personality, and the joy that they share together? I think so, too.
We were absolutely thrilled to be part of the Make A Wish foundation’s Wish Ball this year. Soben Studios proudly donated photography sessions for both portraits and parties – and we cannot wait to meet the lucky winners! Dana Carvey was the featured special guest, who was a complete hit (of course!). “This occasion is a wonderful way to celebrate the work of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and bring our mission to life for our supporters,” said Stephanie Springs, Chief Executive Officer of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois. “It a powerful experience for everyone as we not only laughed with Dana Carvey, but were deeply touched by stories from our wish families.” I hope you enjoy the shots above, which were kindly emailed to us from the Wish Ball chairperson (not taken by Soben Studios). I have no idea who the lovely family is with Dana Carvey – but I do know one thing – they had “a ball”.
