All the way from CA….

I know that I haven’t posted in a while. Between new babies, and moving our house, I have had little time for the blog. Packing is all consuming. I really enjoy the purge piece of the pack. I would even enjoy the packing itself, if it weren’t for all the other things that I need (and want) to do! Nonetheless, the end is almost in sight, and I hope to feel complete again in the near future. In the meantime, please bear with me until I get my feet back on the ground (and the keyboard connected) in the new house. I assure you the insanity will pass by the middle of August (only to make way for the back to school craziness around the corner!). It is a good thing that I thrive by “living on the edge”. ;)
Ah, but again I digress. I am so excited to post about this sweet, squeezable, edible little boy “R”, who came all the way from California to spend some time in the studio. He has beautiful eyes, and two oh-so-new front teeth (which I think are the cutest thing ever). I had so much fun with his Mom, and Grandma - and I can’t wait to share his session with you. Enjoy!

The Date for 2008 - Don’t be late!!

I love the fall. It takes me back to the first day of school, and going shopping for new school clothes with my Grandma. You know, the clothes that you buy for when school starts, and you aren’t allowed to wear them until school starts - and by the time that school starts it is too warm to wear them anyway! But then we finally get to sweater weather (and most of you know how I like to photograph sweaters!).  I hope that we have some great sweater weather on …. drumroll please … Sunday, September 14. Location to be announced - but its a good one!

The session fee is over half off our standard weekend rates — $150 gets you 25 minutes behind the lens, a FREE 5×7 print AND 10 free holiday cards - designed by my good friend Melissa Epstein of www.imadethis.net . Limited slots are available, so please drop us an email today to book your slot! We are only planning one other mini session for 2008 at this time.

Mini Sessions…..

Hope everyone had a great fourth. We did, though I still can’t believe that we kept our toddler up until 10:30 for fireworks. I thought it would be worth it, to see his excited face when the sky lit up… until we ALL paid the price for it the next day. Even the big kids were tired. Nonetheless, it was a wonderful family day, and I can’t wait to do it again next year.

Fall mini session dates will be announced later this week! Be sure to check back, as the dates are expected to fill quickly.

Finally, an Aunt!

I have waited many years for this day ~ I couldn’t wait to hear the words “Aunty Laurie”. Well, the day is here. I am proud to introduce my neice. She was born at 3 pounds 10 ounces, and has steadily been gaining weight (I think she is over six pounds now). And if I don’t say so myself - she is one of the cutest newborns I’ve photographed. Without further ado - here she is!! Enjoy,and thanks for looking.

Hi, blog readers! Things have been busy around here, so I am putting two beauties in one post. Both of these girls are going into kindergarten next fall, and both are some of the sweetest children I’ve gotten to photograph. The black and white is a natural light in studio shot, and the others were shot at outdoor locations around the studio.

From far, far away…

Something about this girl did remind me of Fiona (we watch entirely too much Shrek over here…) - and she did come from far, far away to visit us. Of course, I am talking about the non-ogre version of Fiona! Boy, am I glad she did! Our session was so refreshing - and I still can’t get over her hair. Naturally beautiful. Enjoy.

Tweens

Beautiful Baby Girl

WARNING: Large showcase ahead. I just couldn’t help it - this little one stole my heart. She would barely stop smiling…. until we brought out the books. Goes to show you that she is both beautiful AND smart. Who could ask for more?

For the photographers that have asked about our lighting setups … all of these shots were taken inside our new studio, using only natural light.
